It starts from the square in front of the Free Thought Mutual Aid Society. After a short stretch on a hundred-meter asphalt road, turn right uphill towards the Sanctuary of N.S. Dell’Acquasanta. Continue on crêuze, the typical Ligurian mule tracks, to the Acquasanta train station. From here continue on the right on the right for a few hundred meters on asphalt again, then turn left uphill again on asphalt. Once at a crossroads, continue to the left initially on asphalt then on dirt road. After passing a small group of houses, the view becomes more open and the dirt road continues through the fields to an isolated house. Go up some steps in the grass, then continue through the greenery along a rather narrow path. Beyond the house, the path turns right and continues halfway up the orographic left side of the valley marked by the Rio Baiardetta. Continue along an easy path until you reach a crossroads, then continue to the left, quickly reaching the Rio Baiardetta which you cross without any particular difficulty, passing on the right side of the valley.
From this point the path becomes more difficult, climbing with narrow hairpin bends in the middle of the shrubs, up to the ridge that forms the border between the Municipalities of Genoa and Mele; then it continues in steep ascent, through a forest of fir trees and, after passing some more challenging stretches, it reaches an altitude of 750 s.l.m. in the Rocca Calù area. The path now becomes less steep, always continuing along the ridge, alternating grassy stretches on rock that require attention especially if wet or icy. The final part of the path develops on rocky terrain where it is necessary to use hands to maintain balance and where particular attention should be paid.
