The Team Martìn 10zerouno ASD, sponsored by the Municipality of Mele, is organizing the 8th Vertikal Punta Martìn Race on Saturday 16 November 2019, an uphill walking race.
The competition is open to all athletes in possession of the current medical certification for the suitability for the practice of competitive sports, issued by the sports medicine doctor, valid at the date of the race, and who are at least 18 years of age
Methods and registration fees
The registration fee is set at 25 euros.
In the event of cancellation the registration fees will be returned for 20% of the expected amount. This reimbursement is not applicable for registrations made in the promotion.
During registration, the athletes must indicate the credentials for determining the 3 starting grids. Details on how to proce will be highlighted in the registration form. Please read the competition rules carefully.
A COPY of the MEDICAL SPORTS CERTIFICATE valid for the day of the race must be attached to the registration form on the Wedosport website.

CAUTION. Registrations will be confirmed ONLY upon receipt of the medical certificate and after verifying payment.
On the day of the race, Saturday, November 16th, registrations can be made on site until the race numbers are exhausted. In this case the fee will rise to 30 euros. It is MANDATORY to present a COPY of the MEDICAL SPORTS CERTIFICATE. For any information send an email to email@example.com
The maximum number of participants is set at 200 athletes.
Bib numbers withdrawal
The meeting is scheduled for 7.00 am at the town of Acquasanta (Mele – Genoa), on the square in front of the Mutual Aid Society Libero Pensiero.
The bibs can be picked up Saturday morning from 7.00 to 8.30.
The maximum time to complete the course is 2 hours.
It is mandatory to carry a windproof jacket and wear Mountain Running shoes.
Given the peculiarity of the race course, the use of the poles is not allowed to the competitors.
Also for this 2019 edition, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (not mandatory) to use the HELMET from CLIMBING / SKI MOUNTAINS.
The briefing is scheduled for 8.45 a.m..
The departure will take place at 9.00 a.m. from the Square in front of the Mutual Aid Society “Libero Pensiero”in Acquasanta, in mass-start mode.
To facilitate the start phase, 3 merit grids will be defined, based on the times indicated by the athletes.
The finish is placed at the top of Punta Martin.
The race course develops uphill on “creuze” and mountain paths with a positive gradient of 897 meters, from the town of Acquasanta (height 165 m s.l.m.) to the peak of Punta Martìn (altitude 1001 m s.l.m.).
The organization, in the event of severe weather conditions, reserves the right to change the route or cancel the event.
A refreshment point is provided: halfway through and one upon arrival at the summit. The competitors will return to Acquasanta on foot, even on an alternative route indicated by the organization.
The timing will be carried out by the Italian Timekeepers Federation.
Broom service and assistance
During the competition the medical assistance will be guaranteed by the Green Cross of Mele. Furthermore, in the more technical points, there will be the Alpine Rescue and the Civil Protection of Mele.
A general classification will be prepared and will be available on the website www.vertikalpuntamartin.it
The prizes will be awarded at the end of the event, around 1:00 pm, in the Acquasanta area.

– FIRST 10 ABSOLUTE MEN
– FIRST 5 ABSOLUTE WOMEN
– the youngest and oldest athlete
– the largest team
Participants in the event, by registering for the event, declare that they accept that their images, photos and / or videos are used to advertise the event and / or the territory or for similar purposes. In accordance with the law n. 675/96 of 31.12.1996, art. 13 the organization informs that the personal data collected will be used exclusively to prepare the list of participants, the various classifications and the archive. The same data may be used for sending informative and / or advertising material by the organization or its partners. You can correct or delete these data at any time.
The athlete, aware of the responsibility for false declarations, recognizes and confirms:
to have taken a direct view of the course of the competition and to have it, in the full of its faculties, considered fully suitable to its own technical level; to be well aware that the aforementioned path has traits with fixed ropes and exposed passages, although assisted by the organization’s staff; to be in possession of a skyrunning curriculum adapted to the competition to which he enrolled, also having in recent past taken part in similar events and boasting anyway mountain experience suitable for facing the aforementioned course; to have been summarily informed by the organizers of the potential danger of the event taking place in the mountain environment, with the consequent inevitable objective dangers for all competitors and to intend, in the face of this awareness, to assume the same risk; to expressly exempt the organizers from any responsibility for non-serious negligence in relation to any eventual loss of which the athlete himself is a victim.
Although not included in this regulation, the ISF (International Skyrunning Federation) applies.
